give me some feedback on cerakoting a 1911 frame.
-What is the normal cost you guys/gals have found it to run when done professionally?
-How well does it hold up under normal use?
-I'm near Macon and Warner Robins. Where is the best place to take it near me?

Cerakote is a very durable finish. It'll hold up better than traditional bluing and you won't have to worry about rust from sweat or any kind of cleaning chemicals damaging it. It's not a miracle finish though, it will get holster wear in a plastic/kydex type holster just like about every other finish out there. It's not as durable as some of your salt bath type finish like Nitride/melonite and certainly not more durable than hard chrome plating or NP3. But those finishes limit your options to either a black or chrome like finish and can be very expensive to get a single gun done. If you want a color Cerakote is definitely your toughest option.

I don't know who's the best in your area but my shop is not far from Macon and I Cerakote. If you're on Facebook you can see some of my work here
