Ceramic Coating for Cars - good/bad??

I like that aspect. Some pretty good feedback about the benefits from other sources. Can really tell a difference in it now vs off the factory floor. Supposed to last 5 years. will see how it holds up over time, but should help with wheels/rims getting mucked up.

if your looking to protect your paint just get a decent wrap job from someone reputable. will most likely be the most cost effective option

I had it done to a new challenger by a professional that knows what he is doing. There is a lot to prepping the car before it gets the ceramic coating. It took him about 6 hours on a new car in my shop so I was able to watch the whole thing. Afterwards the shine and depth of the paint was amazing. Water just sheets right off. Cleanup after driving is as simple as wiping with a damp microfiber. Bugs don’t stick to the coating.

You can get good results if you keep your car washed and waxed with good products but it’s not as bulletproof as ceramic.

Caveat - my experience and opinion. Others may not agree.

really? i actually am not super familiar with pricing for the coating i just figured it couldnt be any cheaper, last one i had done was like 500

I understand you need it redone every 3 to 5 years.

Not sure whether you need to strip the old stuff off somehow, but if so, that could be a concern.
