Buddy of mine is always coming up with non traditional materials for me to use making a knife. Sort of like doing a puzzle and only having one piece. Never know what he's gonna drop on my bench. This one was quite interesting and took a little thinking. Just take note that a goat jaw bone is not configured like a bear or yote so not going to make a traditional jawbone knife.
Having forged the little dagger blade from a broken Nicholson black diamond at one of my Hammer-ins, I had it lying around when he brought me the jaw. Well here's the results.
Goat jawbone, file dagger blade - 3", hammered copper guard with leather wrap and copper cap, with a neck sheath. Very pointy, Enjoy.
ps - this one will be on the table at Trackrock Hammer-in the weekend of March 18th-19th
