If you want to go cheap, go super cheap! PSA has complete lowers for $130 and complete uppers for $250 with free shipping but you'll have +$40 for GA tax. However, now is a really great time to buy into a mid-range setup if you're looking for quality.

I once carried an M-16 A1 that was made by an automatic transmission factory. It had a green M-14 adjustable sling.

I loved that rifle and sling.

Delton is like an MRE it gets the job done but it's for sure not Mom's home cooking. I bet a Jackson 10 Delton's will group tighter than 10 run of the mill AK's.

And I love AK's too.

If I hadn't dumped that POS Delton AR I'd take that bet. Best 100 yard group I got pre return to Delton was 21". Ridiculous. After they admitted they ****ed up the chrome job on the bore, I got 9" groups atv100 yds. What a piece of ****. Worst AK I've owned was 4 MOA.

between PSA, buying stripped lowers from my gun store, and different specials on delta team tactical, I haven't put over 300 in a single AR all year

Dude.... Seriously an AK is just an AK and a 7.62x39 has roughly the same ft lbs of energy as a 5.56x45 round.
