Anyhow, this is exactly what it looks like. Blued steel and
black synthetic furniture. Grooved fore-end and wrist area
of stock for a more secure grip.

Vent ribbed barrel. My Youth Model was 22" in 20 gauge.
The standard adult model may have a longer barrel.
It's vent-ribbed, and nicely done.
Crossbolt safety in front section of trigger guard.

PS: The model is a Stevens 320.

Grab a Mossberg Maverick 88 for $189 and call it a day.

I second this. They sell a model with the 18.5” barrel.

Would just buying a barrel for one you already have work? Going hunting? Swap back out. Less than one minute.

My shotgun is a Browning BPS. Do they make the 18.5” barrels for those? I was looking at barrels a while back and they were a tad pricey just for the standard length barrels.

I like the H&R Pardner and have 2 of them. One in 20ga and one in 12ga. Very good guns for the money. I bought my 12ga at AO on sale just before Christmas. I paid $139. Normal price is around $150-$200 depending on when and where you get it. 22" vent rib barrel, XF choke included (easily unscrewed), Realtree stocks. I like it. For the money you can't beat it. It's an 870 clone, and will take most 870 accessories, except it will not accept 870 chokes. They also make it in 18.5".

Hmmm.... not sure on that one. I had an 'extra' 870 that I used. Picked the barrel up here for I think $75.
