Choosing a new bank or credit union

So I have been using BB&T for the last 10 years. Had a few issues over the years, but nothing major. Even when fraud happen they took care of it and I always got my money back. Well every since they merge with sun trust and became Truist. I have been having multi issues with them.

Really just want a bank or credit union that won't push their agenda down my throat and has decent customer service. (being pro 2a would be nice as well)

I opened an account with Ally Bank (online only) 13 years ago. Originally it was to be a supplemental account, however over the last 13 years it has become our primary bank. We have used it almost exclusively the last 11 years, and I have never been so happy with a bank.

Whatever you do, don't use PNC. They could not even process a simple direct deposit. This went on for 3 months and I was forced to switch again.

my local bank OZK has been very good to deal with formerly bank of the ozarks.

How do you deposit cash with a complete online bank?

I use Bank of America. I know they are a big, commie organization, but damn, they got their banking stuff together.
