There's a reenactment at the Art in the Park festival today and tomorrow at Hurricane Shoals in Maysville. Battle of Kings Tanyard starts at 4pm. Picks up again tomorrow at 2pm. Come on out and support the show!

We went in 2019 and I got some pretty good pictures. We're heading up today as well.

What he’s referring to is the strict definition of a civil war, where one group seeks to overthrow whomever is in power in order to take over. The South wasn’t looking to take over, they were looking to leave.
That's not the definition of Civil War, any war that is fought where both sides are from the same country is a civil war.

We have not had a civil war in this country....yet. The previous altercation was a war fought by the south to succeed from the North. Regardless, stand by.....
Southerns of that time used “civil war”, as well as “the war between the states”. People in the US preferred other names. There were other names of course, but southerners did use the term “civil war”.
