Claiming abandoned kayak?

Based on the DNR rules posted above-

Fill out form to report it to the DNR.
DNR makes determination if they can find the owner or reported stolen. If not-
I take out a 2 week legal notice in the local paper in the legal notice section
If nobody claims it, it's ours.

Do I have that correct?

I don't live in an HOA, But if you just dropped it off without my knowledge I would call the sheriff office and have it removed. I wouldn't just claim it as mine. Now since you are asking sure bring your boat on over just so long as I have permission from you to use it
