I'm going back stock with the 200, 3spd. (1 barrel autolite 1100) Boring, but cheap.

I saw one a couple weeks ago that was super sweet

EFI 302 and 5 speed from a 91,
Air conditioning , new front suspension from Heidts or somewhere

Lower a little with old style American torque thrust wheels
And all the patina with the original factory paint

It was awesome

I like the dual headers. 30% gain seems too good to be true.
I'd love to have nothing else to do but hot rod an in line 6.

Just adding a few parts (without going crazy) would make it a better daily driver. The exhaust sounds good too:

Yeah, The disk brakes and t-5 would help the drivability.

I don't mind points and drum brakes though.

I think I'd be fine with the drum brakes myself. I know you're going with a minimalist build, so I think a set of Magnum 500s would look great on it. I also like the steel factory GT wheels.
