Well after 7 years of looking, buying, and trading Smiths....I finally found a birth Month/Year S&W. I've check just about every Smith I've had my hands on...the one that were close to the tight time period....closest I've been until now was April 1980.


But I just got word today that the 6" 29-2 in Nickel I acquired recently was shipped March 1980.....just like me.


I put my Elephant Ivory Target stocks on her to dress her up a bit....I think this will be one of the very few "forever" guns for me. Presentation case and original target stocks are put up....

I'd have to check letters....but I think the 6.5" and 5" 27-1's are 1963 guns....the rest of em are 1962
