IMG_3151.JPG A friend turned me on to this method and it is way too effective to not share .

A started by buying a rock tumbler from harbor freight . It was less than 50 bucks .

You then put your baffles in it along with stainless pins (can be bought online)

Drop the baffles in with warm water , a few drops of dawn dish soap and the stainless pins.

I threw in my Spectre 2 baffles which were filthy as I'm lazy and hate cleaning it . I forgot to take pictures of it when dirty but it was quite cruddy!

After tumbling for 3 hours the baffles came out like new . Granted you may not want to use this method for aluminum cans as it might poke the finish a bit (I don't care but you might) but it works wonders on steel baffles .

Awesome! Looks really good! Looks like it works better than my ultrasonic.

That is exactly why I bought suppressors with Titanium baffles. After a lot of research, I found that this was an easy and effective way to clean them. I like easy.:D Especially since I already had the brass tumbler.

Is there a different media you can use with aluminum baffles?

    [fingers crossed]

I dunno. I'm going to toss an aluminum end cap in there to see what it does. My aluminum silencers would not fit in this tumbler anyway

I've got the HF large ultrasonic cleaner if you'd like to borrow it and run some trials with it. I tried cleaning my baffles a few times but never had what I would call great success. I've heard that the type of solvent makes or breaks the cleaning ability though.
