    CMP 1911 PRICING:
    CMP has priced the 1911 type pistols at fair market value in accordance with CMP's enabling legislation.

    Service Grade $1050. Pistol may exhibit minor pitting and wear on exterior surfaces and friction surfaces. Grips are complete with no cracks. Pistol is in issuable condition.

    Field Grade $950. Pistol may exhibit minor rust, pitting, and wear on exterior surfaces and friction surfaces. Grips are complete with no cracks. Pistol is in issuable condition.

    Rack Grade $850. Pistol will exhibit rust, pitting, and wear on exterior surfaces and friction surfaces. Grips may be incomplete and exhibit cracks. Pistol requires minor work to return to issuable condition.

    If they do the 1911s like they do the Garands, they will be mixmasters of parts anyway. I could see paying $850.00 for a complete Colt or one of the other manufactures. But who wants to spend that kind of money with no mention of what parts are in the gun?

    I know these guns are going for that on Gunbroker, but that's because they never released all these Milsurps to keep the price down. These should be $500 or so, unless they are mint or Singers...

    try 600 if its a GI model but then again why would you want one of those when you can have the real deal?

    granted I havent seen these in person yet but I also havent seen a USGI 1911 for less than 800 in years
