CNN is saying verdict in Zimmerman trial.

Finally back home... made a trip to Canton and back today. Clearly I should pay more attention to the news because I could not believe it when I heard the jurors were deliberating early this morning.

I was literally crossing 285 heading south when I heard "The jurors have reached a verdict" Glad things are quiet so far.

And I'm very happy to see the criminal justice system works.

Ok, where i live is pretty dark and while I'm on the back porch smoking I'm seeing and hearing A LOT of people yelling and screeming and walking/running up and down the streets. Anyone else seeing this in their area?

If she had been the kind of attentive mother she has been these past few weeks when Travon was still alive, maybe her son wouldn't have turned out to be a dope smoking wanna be thug who got himself killed. She also wouldn't be front and center having fly by night attorneys playing the race card at every corner. What happened in this matter was criminal..and I am not talking about Zimmerman killing Martin. That was an legal action. What I am talking about is having a team of race baiting attorneys sell a false narrative that leads to a mans confinement and puts his life in further jeopardy. When I use the word sell I mean just that. This wasn't a case about Justice for Travon. It was about cashing in on his death. From trademarks to lawsuits. I don't think she has much class at all.

I do think Travon was on a path to probable destruction. But as a parent, I think the worst thing that could ever happen to me would be the loss of one of my kids. I would be beyond devastated. Therefore, I give the mother a pass on this.
However, folks who simply tried to take advantage of this unfortunate situation DO NOT get a pass. Their reckoning will come one day, but not on this earth.

I've never felt the need to carry INSIDE my own house or on my property before, but i am right now. I don't know what's going on, a fairburn P.D. just passed by and it got quite until he was out of sight. now its back like it was before he cruised past.

I have heard two shots and a scream. The shots were together. The scream was later and from a different direction. Also, a bunch of sirens within minutes of the verdict.

I agree it is sad that a teenager was killed but I can't help but feel that she is responsible in some part through her parenting, or lack there of. My parents would have kicked my ass if I acted the way Travon did through out the last years of his life. Indeed this is a sad situation but it was an avoidable situation as well. I am less forgiving as you are.
