I have 6 reds. I found one yesterday napping, odd occurrence since I’ve never seen them nap during the day. I assume she is sick & separated her from the rest. The wife and I figured she’ll be dead when we get home today.

I live in the mountains and I have chickens any advice on how to keep them from dying in this temp drop? Also if anyone has any heating elements that would burn down my coup and make chicken tenders that’d be great.

If you go the route of having a light installed to keep the girls warm, look for "rough service" incandescent bulbs. They haven't been banned, and they're ruggedized.
