COLD CHICKENS

I live in the mountains and I have chickens any advice on how to keep them from dying in this temp drop? Also if anyone has any heating elements that would burn down my coup and make chicken tenders that’d be great.
How many birds ad what sort of coop? You can run a 30w light to keep the temp at ~40⁰. Make sure they have something like cracked corn or blackoil sunflower seeds to eat. They need the calories to maintain body temp

A couple of hi-watt light bulbs go along way if its sealed up pretty good.
Agreed on the heat lamp. That's what you see when you go to Tractor Supply and they have the bitties and baby ducks in the play pen looking thing.
My wife has one of those tent style greenhouses from Amazon. I got a painters light along with a 125 watt heat bulb to go in it. It was okay but not enough for really cold weather. So she went back for the 250 watt. That keeps the temp inside between 35 and 40 degrees even if it's below freezing.
On a side note my old man used to fight chickens all over north GA in the 80s and early 90s. Chicken fighting season was in the dead of winter because that's when they do best. Their body temp is over 100 degrees. So the point here is that chickens can take the cold better than the heat.
