Colt 1911

I am looking to get my colt redone. Someone had it nickel plated a long time ago would like to have it removed and back to original finish
Any help would be great

Umm! Shiny. I like it but I can see the appeal of having it back to original condition. I would be afraid of someone f-ing it up. Seems like the process would be awful hard on the gun. Did you call Colt to see if the gun was issued or manufactured that way?

Did you call Dobbs Defens.e. They shouldn't be too far from you. All the work that comes out of there seems to be top notch.

Try Bullseye Bluing down in Columbus. They have a Facebook page. They recovered a WWII Remington Rand I had. I think it cost around $200.

It is already messed up. It will never have the collector value as one not nickel plated. I'd research whether it should be parkerized or blued.

Sarco has a mix of original and new/reproduction parts, just read the description very carefully.

And if you get it re-blued make sure they don't buff the heck out of it, rounding all the sharp edges; I'd prefer a poorer finish than a gun that looks like it got partially melted !
