Colt Burgess Repeating Rifle. Help Please

I know, just automatic when I see a lever looking like that ! Can we get pic of the sliding loading gate ?

The gun looks to be in very good shape, they were only made between 1883 and 1885 with less than 6500 made. Winchester and Colt made a gentleman's agreement to stay out of each others market.

Unfortunately they are down in price from where they had been in the past. At one time they were bringing $20k to $25k. Today when I see them sell they are generally in the $8k - $9k range. But I have not seen many sell in years that look in as good of shape as your does.

I have one that is saddle worn and I am sure has a great history where your looks like it lived a gentleman's life. Lucky for you it is now worth more
