How about taking racism and anti-Semitism reports more seriously instead of saying, "FFS just stay out of the thread if it bothers you."

I mod some sites and this sort of response isn't acceptable anywhere.

I received a response like this before and completely agree with you. I do think there’s more leniency in the Boiler Room since it’s private and “members only” than the public-facing side of the forum. Ironically, and if memory serves correctly, some of the rules stipulate that racism, bullying, name-calling, and certain language are all against the rules.
