computer scam pop-up...what to do..????

Keeps coming up while I'm looking at ODT listings. How do I deal with it??

Screen locks and a voice msg is going on and on......So I go control alt delete and start over to get it off. Clear browser button on. But it comes back and back and.......

Use your virus scan program. (Norton, Mcaffe, Microsoft, etc.)

Have you tried turning it off and back on?

Or, take it out back, and shoot it, till it's dead.

Pretty simple fix. Hit Control Shift Escape. Then select the browser you were using then hit end task. Will stop that crap fast.

Do NOT call the number!!!!

It's a malware/virus. It's locked my PC up several times.

I do not get the same one you are getting, but I get an equally frustrating one. I have always immediately shut down completely, wait five minutes, restart and then do a System Restore. But next time, I am going to try what Bubbado52 suggests above. Thanks.

Just to be fair, I have not dealt w/it in the way Kahrnut offered that involved firearms. However I do agree that will fix the problem.
