Concealed Carry laws in Georgia...

I am going to research this however, thought I would ask you guys too :) ...

I was told by my firearms instructor that police were not allowed (by law) to ask you if you possessed a concealed weapons permit. He said he heard that, but was still unsure.

Does anyone in here have an idea? THANK YOU! ;)
#1 Young Lady it is a carry permit, can be open or concealed. By law now their must be Probable Cause to justify asking someone for their permit..I hope that helps and welcome to the ODT!

Technically it's a carry license not a permit and I'm not sure why an LEO would ask if someone had one unless they have already established that you are carrying a weapon.

Somewhere in the text in Ga house bill 60 which was signed into law around 2015, prohibits law enforcement from requiring that you show a permit just because you've got a handgun. They need probable cause to believe you're not lawfully carrying.

Good Luck with Explanation if a cop ever asks....
