A friend told me it was now legal to carry without a permit, well read it over, and still has to pass the Senate, but pretty good news that soon you probably don't have to risk a misdemeanor for carrying without a permit.

That’s old news, I believe it is awaiting Kemp to sign or for 40 days to pass.
So it’s in affect now?
Have a link showing where Gov. Kemp signed it into law? There are no rrcent updates that I can find showing where he has signed it into law.
So we can almost exercise the 2nd amendment the way it’s intended….once we get another permission slip

Passed both chambers. NOT signed yet. Supposedly this coming Tuesday.
Nothing has changed on WHO can carry (still need to be 21 and legally able). Only eliminates the need for a permit.

Late this afternoon, Brian Kemp’s office announced that the Governor will be signing Constitutional Carry into law at a public signing ceremony this coming Tuesday!
When this happens, Georgia will become the nation’s 25th Constitutional Carry state and the first big-population state on the East Coast to enact this critical legislation.
That’s why I hope you can come out to the signing ceremony on Tuesday to witness this historic event and meet fellow GGO members!
