Confusing 1911 magwell

I have Springfield Operator MC and I want to get a Ed Brown or S&A Mag well.
Please help me here on what should get the correct parts for my 1911.

Both of those will work with your MC Operator.....but unless the mag well if fit/blended to the frame you are likely to see areas both outside and inside of the mag well where gaps/ledges exist. There really is no drop in mag well that won't have these issues.

Yes both of those mag wells will require fitting. I have found the Brown to require a little less fitting than the S and A but that could have just been the gun. The last S&A I did seemed to take forever to get it just right

To get truly blended/fit mag well you are going to have to visit a gunsmith. There is just no such thing as a drop-in fitted mag well. You can get close sometimes, maybe, but smooth transition lines and gapless frame fit require the trained eye/hand of a smith.

They look nice when they are fitted, they function just as well either fit or unfit.

Had really good drop in results with the S&A. Also I lean that way since they're one-piece magwells.
