Confusing 1911 magwell

The only problem that I have had with the one piece magwells that you guys are looking at is: if you drop your gun and it lands on the side edge of the mag well, it can bend inward, closing up the mag well and preventing an empty mag from being ejected or withdrawn. The magwell sides are weak. I had this happen and I have heard from others of it happening to them. So, I generally do not use them, or I have a welded magwell installed, or I use one that goes all the way around the mag opening, like the Wilson, or Dawson products.

I dropped my gun while cleaning, went to the range, inserted a mag, tried to eject the mag, it was stuck due to a slight collapsing of the mag well. You can squeeze the sides together with your fingers.

I like them okay for range work, but not on a carry gun.
