As an aircraft mechanic for over 20 years. I can say with certainty there are no hidden chemical dispensing tanks on aircraft. That's why I sarcastically suggested that any chemicals had to be included in the fuel.

Ok. So if I am on a road trip for the airlines and riding in the jumpseat (inside the cockpit with the pilots) and RVSM has 500 feet of separation. So I can visually identify the aircraft leaving a contrail as a Delta aircraft that I have worked on.

So in my opinion it has to be a non chemical issue
