For the money you really can't beat this set:

Americas test kitchen show ranked it very high. You can buy pieces one at a time for a complete custom set. I bought the 8 piece set for my mom and added a few other pans and she absolutely loves it. My set cost 5 times more (All-Clad) and I wish I would have picked this set up myself.

My understanding is that Tramontina is made in the USA.

My understanding is that Tramontina is made in the USA.

according to their website, some in USA, some in Brazil and some in Italy. Looks like the hard anodized stuff (at least some of it?) is made in the USA.

Like others, I have kind of pieced mine together. I have some stainless, anodized and cast iron.

For the Tramontina you need to get the Tri-ply type the others are not as good. Again my cook set is almost $1000 and I think the Tramontina is just as solid.
