Corporate Job and Beards?

Why do you work for someone when you are one of the most skilled blademakers in the state?

Haha, a few reasons. One, I'm sure many bladesmiths would disagree with you there. Second, gotta put this masters degree to some use. Would hate myself if I got it for nothing. Third, My wife would kill me if I took that risk right now. I would like to take the plunge one day, but Honestly I've always thought of that as more of a retirement job for me or if I get laid off.

Nothing wrong with a well maintained beard if it is hiding sexually explicit tattoos on the face. Other than that, it probably should be shaved if one deals with the public.

you'd be really surprised how lax alot of companies have gotten in recent years. I work in a corporate lab and have a beard, long hair, and wear piercings. not a word ever said and theres several folks aorund that look like me
