Cougars in the south east.

Sadly, I'm too old to attract a cougar... if I did get one, I'd be robbing the cradle!! (and getting in line to find a lawyer)
 
I saw a roadkill cougar in north GA on I-75 last year. I don't know if it was ever documented by dnr . I believe they have been here all along. during the 1940's my dad said he heard panthers in the woods and swamps down around Wheeler Co.

Dude. My dad just reminded me about the times my grandpa told me as a kid about the "black" panther in south west Georgia. He said they used to cry like a baby to get my dad and his brother to come into the woods. My dad isn't the kind of guy to brag or talk himself up. He swears by it. Said it's coloring made he shine black in the sun.

That's very similar to what my dad has told me, he said it sounded like a woman's scream, and yes he said it was black also. Same here my dad swears by it, he is 81 now.
