Court won't overturn GA church gun ban

I saw that but the way it's worded is odd. "In the service" part could mean in the military or does it mean they are doing something for the military at that moment.

I think everyone should be able to carry in a church but I'd hate for a military person to get in trouble.

It says "in the employment of". I'm still employed by the National Guard even when I'm on orders or at drill.

Actually, here's exactly what it says:

(a) Code Sections 16-11-126 through 16-11-127.2 shall not apply to or affect any of the following persons if such persons are employed in the offices listed below

(3) Persons in the military service of the state or of the United States;
