I’m having a similar dilemma with a critter that cross my back yard almost every evening right at last light. Yours looks like a yote. It seems that a fox tail is almost as long as it’s body, on yotes the tail is shorter and more wirey. Foxes do have shorter legs, but they can look kinda long too. For me the tail is the giveaway. Here a picture of a red fox from google. Almost looks like the picture you posted, but the tail is long.

I love how the caption of the original poster says “scary be careful” haha. I wish a coyote would step in my back yard. Hope my fox is still around come December.
