I set my first trap in 30+ years today.

Trying to not catch Fox, or Bobcats or someone’s Fido.

Our target is Coyote which we are overrun with it seems.

Set a couple of box traps as well.

Good deal and good luck. Where are you trapping? Be sure to keep us posted.

I have requested a trapping forum several times but it has fallen on deaf ears.

Heard County. My buddy and I trapped as teenagers when we could make some money doing so.

I told my buddy if we catch a Bobcat I will sandpaper its ass before we turn it lose, just to make it sporting! We do intend to release any non target animal.

Trapping season is still open so have fun. What kind of traps are you using and what kind of sets?

A few 1.75 offset ,a few #2 coil spring , a few double long spring. We just got in a dozen 1,75 offset (this afternoon).
Dirt hole and trail.
Some baited some not.

I am guessing we will catch a few Possum and Coons. I need to remove or relocate Coons, they are eating all my corn!

I trapped some raccoons and possums in my back yard here in west Cobb a few years ago using a rabbit type box and took them to animal control, they turned the possums loose and said they put the raccoons down because so many carried rabies.
