Crappy day at the Gordylew house

This day started like crap. My wife found her cat that she adored and loved like a baby dead in the driveway. Apparently the daughters bf ran it over on the way out late last night. I probably wouldn’t have shed a tear for the cat since he drove me nuts for 10-12 years but seeing my wife’s heart broke has broken mine as well. Just needed to vent. Thanks

Sorry your wife lost her cat. Daughter’s bf better step his game up a notch or two to get make in the graces of your wife. Volunteering to clean the table and wash the dishes tomorrow would be a good start. Hope y'all can enjoy Thanksgiving.

That is heartbreaking for her I bet.
A little advice , if I may ; do not try to suggest replacing it too soon. Give her time to mourn and wait a couple of months unless she shows undeniable separation anxiety over loosing it.
Just a thought. Been there, done that.

I do hope she finds a little peace and doesn’t blame you too much !
(Even though you have nothing to do with it , you are the husband/guy/whatever…so you know as well as I do everything is our fault as the man in the relationship)
