That would be my suggestion and I don't particularly like cats, but they do become loved members of the household.

This day started like crap. My wife found her cat that she adored and loved like a baby dead in the driveway. Apparently the daughters bf ran it over on the way out late last night. I probably wouldn’t have shed a tear for the cat since he drove me nuts for 10-12 years but seeing my wife’s heart broke has broken mine as well. Just needed to vent. Thanks
