I learned that the hard way...was at an out-of-state swap meet and wanted to buy something for $800.
Non-CU ATMs had a $500 daily limit.
I now bank with a nationwide brand bank. Has it's CONS but works for me.

I've been with them since 2002. Well it was medcom CU way back then. They've been WONDERFUL. I've never had a single problem out of them. EVER. 16 years of banking with them. I can't say enough good things.

Georgia’s Own Credit Union has been good for me.

I've been with them for about 45 years, used to be called Ga Telco Credit Union. They have branches all over and are part of a network of banks where you can do business.

Been very happy with mine, but there are limitations.... One location and that is inside Coca-Cola HQ....
But I also opened accounts at my local bank (United Community) and can move funds back and forth as I need.

I was so happy when I left the rip-off big banks... (BAC & WF)... United Community has been great...
Low fees, easy to work with and great customer service...

I did not know that was even possible. About twenty years ago I had a bank in Cincinnati try to charge me for making a cash deposit. I laughed all the way over to the account manager's desk and closed my accounts (3, one a huge trust for my girlfriend at the time).
