crowning tool needed ***UPDATE***

explain a little more, I need to crown one myself. What size brass screw for a 30 cal and what kind of head, I assume you lap with the head.

I have used a lee pilot case trimmer, with a strip of coke can in the muzzle to stabilize and protect the rifling. Looked good never shot it ended up selling

yea i know, im going for a more precise cut.

check out brownells, they have different angle cutters.........i cant tell you what angle you need or what is better because i dont believe in the preciseness of it honestly.............ive seen bolt gun barrels cut down and brass screw lapped and shoot sub-moa so its hard for me to not be partial. using cutters does look purty though especially after recessing the muzzle and crowning with cutters.
