Believe it or not, I had a gentleman on another site ask me to make him a pair of genuine ivory grips with 1911 $5 Indian Gold half eagles inset into them. I figured that pair of grips would cost me about $1,800+ to make, just in the cost of the materials. I told him I would need at least $2,500 for making a pair.

He agreed to the price. I got a bit nervous about the possibility of making a mistake with them, citing my relative recent entry into the field of making these. I needed more experience.

He told me that he would be ready when I was ready.

A clear, flexible adhesive that will not attack the silver in the coin so you can remove it and reclaim it later, if so desired.
