So, after regrettably trading my CZ 75 SP-01 manual safety a few months back, I finally picked up a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical (decocker version) last week and want to get it tuned up. I changed the main/hammer spring from 18 lbs to 13 lbs already and it helped a lot, but the trigger in DA is still pretty heavy, there’s some minor grit, and the reach and reset is longer than I’d like. Does anyone know a LOCAL gunsmith who can tune this gun up? I’m located in Metro Atlanta and would be willing to drive an hour in any direction maybe more.

Basically, I want to have a competition hammer installed, the internals polished, the action tuned, and a trigger job with a possible short reset trigger system and/or reach reduction system installed.

Oh, one other thing. I accidentally bought this SP-01 Tactical thinking I was ordering a SP-01 manual safety. It was about 4am when I ordered, but that’s no excuse. Anyway, the Tactical is in minty condition, has only been to the range once, and has less than a hundred rounds through it without flaw (of course, it's a CZ!). If anyone has a SP-01 manual safety in like new condition they’d be interested in trading even, let me know. Thanks fellas!

I know Bryan Ott of Ott gunworks works on CZs, he's located in douglasville about 30 mins or so down I-20 westbound from ATL. He will be working on my SP-01 Tactical and my P07 extended barrel as well when I get some funds together. As far as a trade goes, maybe woodsman would have what you're after, he has a ridiculous amount of CZs and he's trading stuff all the time. Hope this helps! And give the decocker a chance, I used to be a manual safety only guy, but have really come around to DA/SA, my P-07 wears one at all times now.

Cz custom will be your best bet if you have to ship it.

As far as local, Adventure Oudoors always has a good selection of high end CZ's, and i imagine their guns.ith David McDonald knows his way around one
