Hey everyone.

Does anyone ave the HBindustries drill bit for un-f@%^ing the weld?

I have the spring kit from them, and wanted to go ahead with the project.

I was able to drill mine out using a titanium bit. It took a while but it worked.

There is drilling involved to remove the trigger pack. HB has an instructional video on their Web page.

Please note that for 2016 Scorpion S1 models (pistol/carbine) there is a high rate of welded trigger packs. The retaining weld should be identified and removed prior to any trigger pack work. If you know the size and can chuck it into a drill press, I would go straight to carbide.

Glad I let my LGS handle it, well worth the $15.00 he charged. He liked the trigger design and said I'll never ever wear that thing out. Said it was similar to an AK design.

I go to CJI guns in Tucker when I need work done. I don't know what Ron will charge you, but ask him first.

There is no magic to the HB industries bit it is just a hardened 3/16″ drill bit. I picked a cobalt bit up from home depot, and a hand drill, no problem.
