I am one of the Managers at D. Geller. You will never set foot in another jewelry store that is more pro-second amendment than ours. More of us than not do carry at all times, as well as train regularly. Furthermore, many of our employees are current or former law enforcement or military. We even have employees working for us who also work in the firearms manufacturing business. For someone within the industry, as you stated you are, you should really understand why a jeweler might be a little edgy the day after a fellow jeweler in the Atlanta area was murdered in his own store. I'm not sure what your purpose is with this, but some of your story simply isn't true. You were not concealing your weapon, you were openly carrying your firearm. We are fine with this, but don't be alarmed when we make mention of it. If you weren't out looking for a situation, then you would have had your weapon concealed. Why would someone in the jewelry industry come into another store seeking to sell gold as opposed to sending it to a refiner? Why wouldn't you simply order a titanium band, get it next day and save yourself the money? Odd circumstances such as what you displayed would certainly raise a red flag to a manager and rightfully make him concerned of the situation. Your loose mouth is only hurting people who share your second amendment views. Ever think what would happen if you openly carried into a bank that day after another banker was killed? The local SWAT team would be quick to advise you.

Drsmile & ATLEMT, we appreciate your spreading the truth of the matter.
Whether I will shop with them or not, I did like the comments by DGS. Red Dawn, your call, but you pretty much got backhanded for your comments. Guess there ARE two sides to every story. In the future, might want to post about shops you check out that do not follow ODT. Just saying.

Completely disagree with direction of this post. I personally know that Mike and the folks at Geller are pro firearms and CCW. With all Internet posts I'm sure the OP's post hasn't been embellished at all. Human nature is to be a little on guard THE DAY AFTER A JEWELER WAS MURDERED- I wouldn't expect anything different in any jewelery store... Geller is good folk.
Looking forward to when I get a chance to stop by your store too.
