I love the older M cars, especially when they are that clean looking!

Nice truck. A guy at work just bought an F250 just like it! Great trucks!

They are getting hard to find in good condition...prices have skyrocketed on E36 M3'sI love the older M cars, especially when they are that clean looking!
Buddy from work. he thinks its fast, its an sti
In a straight line...no, not fast. In the twisties, they are quick. I got more enjoyment out of the STI I just traded in than most of the other hot rods I have had in the past.
That said, unless Subaru updates that power plant and ads 100hp, my next big boy toy will either be a used 911 or Vette in 4-5 years.
Ive heard rumors of the FA20dit making its way into the STI around 2020 after it sees time in the homeland. Cause we get the bottom of the **** stick here. Oh what I would do to get my hands on that new S207
Meh, rumors float around in the Subie world all the time. I never believe we will get the cool stuff.
Anything super cool and with any nuts gets restricted to Japanese/Australian markets. We only get the dated, under powered versions here. ->22B over seas....we got the 2.5RS...lame.
The STI needs a new drivetrain though. 04' with the same displacement and output? They could have at least strengthened the bottom end some and boosted it some more to give us at least 350-375 in those 10 years. I would have gladly paid a few grand more fore a more stout engine. The 2.5 EJ257 power curve was way to restricted with the factory tune. No boost until 3k RPM's then completely flat at 5,500. Basically a 2,500 power band that you short shifted as there was no extra power above that RPM and the short ratio gear box would keep the RPMs just right short shifting.
I do love the sound of them though. One of the best sounding 4cyl on the market.
