Damn yotes!

They're all around here. I recently had a pack howling like crazy in the woods fifty feet from my house and saw one in the driveway run past me. My son saw yotes three days last week while in his deer blind. Found the front legs from a fawn awhile back too.

No toes stepped on here... just spelling out your remedy on an open forum , that I know Mr. Green Greens follows can only direct attention to activities.
I hear you. And i appreciate the knowledge. Either way i already posted.... I follow guldelines laws and regulations when it comes to wildlife and state law so if im gonna get monitored because of a coyote post... They will be wasting some hard earned tax dollars lol.

and thats what pisses me off.
You can shoot them all day long with no limit or season. That much i do know. Do georgia a favor

Been thinking of starting to seriously hunt them. I recently figured out a possible way to tell if they are in the area. I noticed they will start howling, day or night, if a siren goes down the road wailing or if a train whistle blows while passing through the county. I could get some sort of siren and get a fix on the pack in the area I plan to hunt that way I am not wasting time if they are not around.

They make decoys that make wounded animal noises. Might be for you?

I have a friend who lives in ohio who had a big problem with coyotes. He hates them with a passion, however he does have a remedy that works... Not exactly humane but we both hate these fawn killing bastards. He goes and buys big grout cleaning sponges at home depot, cuts them into bite sized squares, soaks them up in bacon grease and puts them out where he sees heavy volume of tracks( gets the pack and not just scouts. It takes a few weeks... (Can throw some ratpoision in if you want to speed it up.)But it will cause blockages in them and they die. I thought it was just a cruel thing to do until i went up and thought i was in an animal sanctuary. He hasnt had any dead calves in years and he swears by it

You do not have to use bacon grease, just soak the sponges in either canned chicken or beef broth. Make sure the pieces are approx. one inch sq. Don't worry about being illegal in GA. GA DNR doesn't have the technology to get your fingerprints off of the sponges. Kill the yotes.

I know that this probably won't be seen since I'm on global ignore but the reason that the sponges are illegal is because they are an indiscriminate killer.

Do you want your neighbors dog to get into them? Those aren't your intended targets, but they smell the sponges just the same and will eat them.

It's not humane at all. If I find someone putting out sponges, I'll remove them myself. Coyote are predators, hunt em, dont do some chicken crap thing.

Yeah I was thinking of something like that. I know a guy who has got several that way. Since the sound is not coming from you they are not looking in your direction so there is a better chance of not being detected. They will circle it however looking for a scent before coming to it.

Those decoys arent cheap and ive never used one but hear good things about using in pastures. I live in n e georgia if you ever need a hand. I have a saiga 12 with a bumpski that id like to let loose ;)
