Dan Wesson Valor????

I got a trade offer for a Dan Wesson Valor 1911. I must say I know nothing about Dan Wessons. Can somebody give me a little first hand info?

DW makes a great 1911. Higher end of production guns. CZ Acquired Dan Wesson in 2005 I think. Some people frown upon that but I have a DW/CZ CBOB and the quality, fit, and accuracy are all superb. I'd actually love to add a Valor to my collection!

I've owned several DW 1911 pistols. Each shot better than I do. When I pared my 1911 target pistols back, I kept three, two of which were DW's, the third, a Smith target stainless. If you get the DW and decide it ain't for you, as long as it's unbutchered and priced reasonably, you shouldn't have any trouble getting rid of it.
