Forgive my ignorance but what makes these so special?

I know DD is a good name but I feel like @ $700 I could piece together a hell of an upper with bolt etc...

Not knocking it....just want to learn why?

This is a legit MK18 upper, same one used in the military. The rail alone is over $400 and the barrel is over $300 if you include the gas block. You could likely build a 10.3" upper cheaper but you can't build an MK18 Mod 1 cheapest than this. Usually complete they are $1100+

Gotcha....I had no idea the rails were that much $$

I just remember seeing these for $1K les than a year ago and thinking the same thing.
