Dawson Forest nuclear reactor site.

LOL. Sure thing. That is, if it's not filled with concrete. Supposedly they've filled a lot of the holes used for entry with concrete.

That thing is in the middle of nowhere, maybe they missed it.
You'll be impressed that it's there, because it's so far away from the closest other structure...

I love seeing this thread pop up from time to time.. While my claustrophobia says oh hell no, my curiosity screams yes please lets go exploring.. thankfully the claustrophobia wins out every time lol

Found it today. It's about a mile from the fenced in hot cell. One of the 2 openings (square one) has a circular valve handle. Probably a pipe buried. The other opening is round and you can see the top rung of a ladder on the wall. It's all filled in with dirt though unfortunately.

I would love to get in the tunnel entrance at the culdesac at the end of Dawson forest road but you'd need a truck to pull the boulders away with chains and that's obviously something I'm not messing with. That concludes all the structures there is to investigate that I know of.

The only other thing is, on the Wikipedia page for GNAL, there are different points of interest. If you go to the exact coordinates for "tunnel" (this is just off of the very large clearing just to the left at the culdesac at the end of Dawson forest road) there is a spot where it is apparent they drove a backhoe in, dug out the mountain next to the exact coordinates, and now there is a large dirt pile. My curiosity wonders if there is another entrance buried there. Picture included

I rode thru the tunnels before they completely flooded them on dirt bikes, surprising all the office equip they just covered in water & mud, a Jeep would've gone thru the main tunnel till it finally hit the rising water from the Etowah. This was so long ago there were still metal buildings they left for folks to salvage and me & some Mil guys blew a few to make salvage easier for those wanting it. I remember when that guy names Potts crashed that plane full of Maryjane there too, they soaked it with diesel & burned what they thought was all if it but some guys dug down into the pile and were selling some diesel tasting bud round the area. Had lots of fun there back when it wasn't run by the DNR or City of Atlanta.

Yer correct RiverBend, use to ride ll over that place and see some weird **** day or night. This was about 35yrs ago, good times till Mr Green jeans showed up.
