Yea, I always get a good laugh when people talk about our justice system and how they watch all the TV shows. They actually think our police and justice system works like Law & Order, SVU etc.

Where's Horatio Caine? They never got away from Horatio.

I believe that it says (this is a modern English translation):
"So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12)

not "treat others as they have treated you"

There is a big difference between these ideas.
