Deer hunting with turkey choke

Oh man, I remember my deer huntings. First of all, you need to get a proper clothes – orange color, special hunting shoes + camouflage (because deers see pretty bad, so orange color is perfect for hiding). Then you take binoculars and aid kit. When you are already on place, look for deer and don’t forget to put a bait for him. Then get on a tree or hide yourself and wait. But don’t be so fair as this man https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/derek-fildebrandt-deer-kill-charges-didsbury-court-1.4516638. He hunted deer and then pleaded guilty by himself to shooting a deer What a dumb.

Great first post. Only uphill from here.

I would definitely shoot a more open choke, but I would have some sort of choke tube in the barrel to protect the threads in the barrel

When do I get my $2,000,000? I already sent the $5000 to the palace address in Nigeria.

Thanks for the info. I have a stand that the deer walk out about 25 yards from and I want to hunt it with a shotgun but all I have is a 12 gauge Mossberg Turkey Thug. It came with a screw-in turkey choke. I guess I should take it to the range and see what the spread looks like with buckshot.
Like he said before there's a lot of turkey chokes you can't shoot buckshot with. I would try the modified choke with Federal flight control wad. Those have held the best pattern for me. Just remember with buckshot you're limiting yourself to bow ranges. Maybe 35-40 yards max. If your just getting into hunting and serious about it I would be on the lookout for a centerfire rifle. Most newer bolt action rifles (even the cheaper ones) have a good enough trigger for deer hunting. Shot placement is key. The one thing you'll get with a centerfire bullet is a shockwave the buckshot just can't deliver. With whatever you decide to do good luck this year and I can't wait to see some pictures.
