Dicks- pulling all firearms (merged threads)

Dicks removing hunting/firearms from 125 stores. I guess this will help small local shops. Some might claim they don’t shop here, but sale items or last minute hunting supplies kept me going back. I can’t say I like fewer places to purchase firearm or hunting supplies.

I can't see it affecting me. I never shopped or intend to shop at Dick's anyways.

consolidated same store sales decreased 2.2% on a 13-week to 13-week comparable basis. Net sales for the fourth quarter of 2018 decreased 6.5% to approximately $2.49 billion . Based on an unshifted calendar, consolidated same store sales for the fourth quarter decreased 3.7%. Fourth quarter 2017 consolidated same store sales decreased2.0% .

They are pulling them from less than 20% of their stores as a test so probably won’t happen in the South yet. Their sales and earnings are down since their swing into anti 2a lobbying.

I'm curious what impact, if any, this will have on the Field & Stream stores. The one in Kennesaw has a walk through to Dicks.

When stores stop selling guns, the end is in sight. Sears, Sports Authority, Dicks, Western Auto, and others.
