Was in Cartersville Walmart today, no pistol ammo at all except .22. Also was at Ace Hardware in Rome Ga. all ammo was sold out except two boxes of Remington .40, which I bought and .22. I must just have bad luck or timing

Walmart is done.
I was told they aren't ordering anymore. At least for the unknown future, could be a local thing but I checked 3 in my vicinity, and 2 when I was 45 mins from home not long ago.

Nah I got notifications on different distributors now. Just wait for the emails, then wait for the boxes. I just check for the hunt of it.
All Wal-marts have stopped selling pistol caliber, 7.62x39, 5.56, 223, and 300 BO ammo. The ones that carry ammunition will continue to carry 22, various hunting calibers including 308 or 7.62x51, and shotgun ammo.
IMHO, best bet for availability and cost that is not online would be Academy Sports.

Stop by the store. FORSYTH GUN AND PAWN I'm doing everything I can do to keep ammo in stock. I have people driving all over the southeast to distributors and local Patriots getting ammo. You can message me or call the shop the stock changes everyday. I have 1 box of 357sig in we have 9mm 45acp 38spcl 10mm 380acp 5.56 223 12g 5.7x28 308 270 243 22lr 25acp 410 20g. We do sale alot everyday so the inventory changes daily and deliveries coming in all the time. Trying to keep up the stock and keep the prices down.
I will definitely keep you guys in mind. Adventure Outdoors was the only place I went into a couple days ago that had a full selection. Everywhere else I’ve seen has been out of all the popular calibers
