Yup. The chances of me buying a carbine/rifle and it coming with the sling I actually prefer would be slim. Just another piece of unused kit taking up space with the rest of it.

I have put 100s of rounds of HP, FMJ, steel, brass, and aluminum cased ammo through my carbine without 1 malfunction.

The only ones I have that came with a sling are combloc or milsuprs. None of my new rifles have ever come with a sling, including my Sport 2.

Last factory AR I purchased that came with a sling was my Bushmaster HBAR in 2008.
