I think so. Up here we could get the Chattanooga stations. On Saturday nights at 11:30 Channel 9 showed some scary stuff, or at least it seemed that way to a 10 year old.

All the local network channels played the national anthem after the 11:00 news and shut down until morning.
When Turner first started his channel 17 it was only music all night with some weird psychedelic pictures.

I was watching rasling " not to be confused with actual wrestling" with my Dad one night and the person on the kill/delay switch was a little slow. Someone was rolling Tully Blanchard up for a pin, and pulled his green trunks down, causing him to moon 1000's of people on live tv. I still chuckle......
