Dillard House

So just curious, thinking of taking my family there sometime in the future. Any of your guys ever been? Pros cons etc...? It's about a 3-3.5 hour drive for us, but we were wanting to try something different. Thank you in advance for any pointers or advice!

I’ve been going there for 25 years or so. They have animals and a petting zoo, horse rides etc. the food is good too, and there’s lots of it. Around this time the views are great too. I love that areas. Like you’re in the mountains, (basically are). There is a campground close called river vista. It’s great and they rent small cabins too. All in all, it would be a good road trip in my opinion.

And, take one of the guided horse back rides. Last time I went (12-15 yrs ago), they had 2 different routes. We took the river one. Ohh, and go hungry!!!

We used to vacation there when I was a kid. I'm 75 now so that's quite a while ago but it was a great place.

Better than expected. They grow seasonal vegetables on their land.

My in-laws go multiple times a year. Never heard anything bad

Don't forget about highlands NC...we make it part of our Dillard house trip...

If we are going to pass close by there we generally plan to eat there. Way more food served than anyone needs but it is always good.
